Im a Lover, Not a Fighter,

Hey hey. So Glad to be home after a day like today. My day was very much filled with drama as always. A girl was texting in class which is against the rules and the teacher asked her to clock out and leave. She didn't want to leave so her and her friend who carpools with her decided to cuss our teacher out. (lovely huh?) I guess it scared our teacher and she let both of them stay. Then there is a girl that doesn't like me. I have tried everything to make her like me but the reason she doesn't is because "I'm too nice". How do you fix that? haha Anyway I'm pretty sure she wants to beat me up so I keep my distance. Well today she start saying stuff under her breath anytime she was close to me so I started praying. I am very non-confrontational and really try to be a good Christian. Well I guess God answered my prayers because that girl left the building without being clocked out and was sent home. Its funny how things just work out sometimes. : ) You know about a year ago I was thinking about how lucky I was to live in the bible belt where I am not persecuted for my beliefs. God must have laughed when he heard that because now I'm pretty much persecuted every day. Its so crazy to me how much these girls need him in there lives! I pray for them constantly and try to show them love. Its so hard for me to wakeup in the morning and do my bible study and be so Christ centered and then go somewhere like that and all day long have the devil work on tearing me down! I will make it though. Only with help from my awesome God.
So Friday I had my ultrasound and I know absolutely nothing. lol I figured that the tech wouldn't be able to tell me much but she couldn't tell me anything at all. They told me to come in with a full bladder but what they don't tell you is that you will sit and wait will a full bladder for thirty minutes only to have someone mash and rub around on it. I really though for a while that I was going to wet my pants! My bladder was so full that I had to unbutton my pants when no one was looking. Thank God my shirt was long. I don't go back to the doctor for three weeks. So I guess it will all just be a waiting game until then.

Here is a little pic to show you how white I am. I haven't tanned all summer. I told my friends that I'm looking a little like I belong on Twilight. David told me the whiter the better. lol So thankful I have such a sweet hubby.

"It's raining Men Babies!

What a busy week! I have three baby showers this week! Wednesday I helped throw a shower for a girl at school and I have Two tomorrow for girls that I go to church with. Every-bodies having babies...except me : ( . Here are some pics from Brandi's baby shower. Keep in mind I had to take picture with my cell phone so they are a little sad and I didn't have full creative control so thing defiantly weren't as matchy matchy as I would have liked. It was a good shower though. I was very proud of how the girls actually tried to chip in and bring food and presents( that is very rare for most of them)

This is the diaper cake that Lauren and I made last weekend.

This is a hat that I crocheted for the baby.

When we went to pick up the cake we were very disappointed. It wasn't anything like we had imagined or described to the baker so last minute we ran to Wal-mart and bought the "T" and orange spray paint. We spray painted the "T' and glued it to a dowel to try to take your eye away from the rest of the cake LOL

The punch was awesome! We mixed two berry blue kool-aid pouched then equal part ginger ale and white grape juice then lots of vanilla ice cream. It was a little tangy at first but we added more ice cream until it tasted right.

Grub!

Can you tell this is cosmetology school? lol I love that Elissa has her hair in rollers. I'm really surprised no one had foils in their hair.

The Happy Momma!

So that is one baby shower down and two to go tomorrow.

Also for those of you who don't know. David and I have been trying to have a little one of our own for over a year now and I have recently been to the Dr. to get test run and talk about whats been going on. All of my blood work came back good and I'm going in for a sonogram tomorrow morning to see if everything looks OK. Also Doc put me on Clomid to help things along but I don't start taking that until next month.

On a different note. David's grandpa is back at MD Anderson this week to get a biopsy on the spot on his lung. So keep him in your prayers. The last time he got a biopsy on his lung it collapsed and he has sighed a do not resuscitate clause. He may be OK with going but I cant say the same for the rest of the family.

I decided to take Kelly's Korner challenge this week which is "Favorite Bible Verse". I have so many but lately there's been a few that keep coming back to me.
The first is:
This what I strive to do everyday.
"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." 1Thessalonians 5:20

I try to remember this because in such a worrier.
"Do not worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don't forget to thank him for his answers. If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your heart quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7

and of course the first verse I ever learned and one on which my faith is based.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

One Nation under GOD.

Wow its been a while. I have defiantly been slacking on my blogging lately! Well I hope everyone had an awesome 4th! We sure did! David got to be off all weekend and they even gave him Monday so I got to enjoy some time with him. For the 4th we headed out to Story Elementary this year for the big over the top fireworks display that Palestine always manages to pull off. They estimated that over 10,000 people came this year from all around to our little town to check them out. Our church had a tailgate party out there so we went and had an awesome time with everyone. My camera has decided to stop working and I forgot my phone so I had to steal random pictures from people that went. I hate blogging without giving you pictures to look at.
We got out there at five and started setting up

All the woman talked while the guys played football.

Everyone played softball. It was so fun!
Our Pastor Doug helping one of the little ones bat.

I was so gross and sweaty that I did not want my picture taken so I refused to look.

These don't do them justice. They were beautiful!

Oh yeah and I did my mom hair last week. I foiled in two colors and cut it.

It turned out good but being a perfectionist I defiantly see somethings that need improving. These were taken with my phone so of course they suck. I put "new camera" on the top of my wish list.

Also this week I had a chance to have lunch with an old friend from high school. She is going through a very hard time right now and I was able to share my testimony and some things that David and I have gone through in the past. It was amazing to see God work. I prayed that God would use me and give me the words to say and he actually used a time in my life that I was tested and didnt exacally pass. During that dark time I kept thinking what good can come out of this. Now nine months later I was able to share with her my story and have an impact on her. She cried and told me how much I had helped her. It is so awesome how God works! My friend still has a long way to go. Please just pray that she is able to see Gods will in her life and know that no matter how bad times may seem God doesn't abandon us.
