Long time no post! Well life has been busy, busy, busy. Lets see whats new. David had switched companies. Its not the railroad job that we prayed and prayed for but another work over rig company right here in Palestine. It has really turned out to be a blessing. Its funny how we always think we know best and God always has the last laugh. We have been doing Experiencing God in our small groups in church. It is AMAZING! If you ever have a chance you should do it! It has brought David and I so much closer to God and helped me see his plan for my life which brings me to...I have decided to go back to school for education. Which is what I was doing before I went to beauty school. I plan on finishing but I'm going to take some extra classes on Fridays and in the afternoons. We have also become more involved in our church and have made made some awesome Christian friends. Also a group from my church went to Haiti.(I really wanted to go but things just didn't work out) My friends Jamie showed me her pictures and told me about it and I decided that I'm going next year for sure! I really feel like God is calling me to go. So I plan on starting to put money back to go next October (If I'm not pregnant then). Nothing has changed on the baby front. We have decided to give it over to God and just live out lives for him and he decided to bless us with a baby than that would be awesome but if not then I guess he has other plans for us now. I have really been struggling with school lately. I have NO christian friends there. It is really dragging out but I'm trying to hang in there. Even though I fell like God wants me to be a teacher I know he wouldn't want me to quit anything. God is truly an awesome God and I know that he will see me through.

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” -Joshua 1:9Im crazy about this man. There is no doubt that God made him specifically for me!

I haven't posted a picture of Maxi in a while and I just took one. Shes getting so big.

We went and picked okra with David's grandpa. I think we got more than enough. I spent an entire day washing, cutting up and freezing okra. I probably wont be eating it for a while. lol

New look!

I finally was able to change my background! My blog has been very stubborn and I was unable to change it for a while.
Not much to say today. I'm currently on a two week break from school. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. I know I defiantly needed to get away but its always so hard
I guess it just needed a little for me to get back into the groove of things. I love being at home. Sometimes I think I was born in the wrong decade and I should have been a 50s house wife. Hah! I'm laughing because you should see how messy my house is now! Maybe not. No good news on the baby front. I the Dr. found cyst but he says that there no big deal. Still on my meds with no luck. Mean while the whole world is pregnant around me. Its a little comical. I know the more I stress about it the less likely chance it will happen. So enough of that. I am so ready for fall to get here! I love fall! I think it is possibly my favorite season. Well better get this house picked up a little or my husband will flip! Not really but it sounded good. hah.

Out Cosmo Pictures came in. I'm in the middle on the bottom row. Gotta love glamor portraits LOL

We had kids day at school so I brought my niece Lacey. I trimmed her hair and painted her nails. Everyone kept telling me how good she was. (They didn't see her after we got home!)

Parker adn Braeden spent that night with us one Saturday and went to church with us the next morning. It was a very eventful night in involving pepper spray but that's another story.

Im a Lover, Not a Fighter,

Hey hey. So Glad to be home after a day like today. My day was very much filled with drama as always. A girl was texting in class which is against the rules and the teacher asked her to clock out and leave. She didn't want to leave so her and her friend who carpools with her decided to cuss our teacher out. (lovely huh?) I guess it scared our teacher and she let both of them stay. Then there is a girl that doesn't like me. I have tried everything to make her like me but the reason she doesn't is because "I'm too nice". How do you fix that? haha Anyway I'm pretty sure she wants to beat me up so I keep my distance. Well today she start saying stuff under her breath anytime she was close to me so I started praying. I am very non-confrontational and really try to be a good Christian. Well I guess God answered my prayers because that girl left the building without being clocked out and was sent home. Its funny how things just work out sometimes. : ) You know about a year ago I was thinking about how lucky I was to live in the bible belt where I am not persecuted for my beliefs. God must have laughed when he heard that because now I'm pretty much persecuted every day. Its so crazy to me how much these girls need him in there lives! I pray for them constantly and try to show them love. Its so hard for me to wakeup in the morning and do my bible study and be so Christ centered and then go somewhere like that and all day long have the devil work on tearing me down! I will make it though. Only with help from my awesome God.
So Friday I had my ultrasound and I know absolutely nothing. lol I figured that the tech wouldn't be able to tell me much but she couldn't tell me anything at all. They told me to come in with a full bladder but what they don't tell you is that you will sit and wait will a full bladder for thirty minutes only to have someone mash and rub around on it. I really though for a while that I was going to wet my pants! My bladder was so full that I had to unbutton my pants when no one was looking. Thank God my shirt was long. I don't go back to the doctor for three weeks. So I guess it will all just be a waiting game until then.

Here is a little pic to show you how white I am. I haven't tanned all summer. I told my friends that I'm looking a little like I belong on Twilight. David told me the whiter the better. lol So thankful I have such a sweet hubby.

"It's raining Men Babies!

What a busy week! I have three baby showers this week! Wednesday I helped throw a shower for a girl at school and I have Two tomorrow for girls that I go to church with. Every-bodies having babies...except me : ( . Here are some pics from Brandi's baby shower. Keep in mind I had to take picture with my cell phone so they are a little sad and I didn't have full creative control so thing defiantly weren't as matchy matchy as I would have liked. It was a good shower though. I was very proud of how the girls actually tried to chip in and bring food and presents( that is very rare for most of them)

This is the diaper cake that Lauren and I made last weekend.

This is a hat that I crocheted for the baby.

When we went to pick up the cake we were very disappointed. It wasn't anything like we had imagined or described to the baker so last minute we ran to Wal-mart and bought the "T" and orange spray paint. We spray painted the "T' and glued it to a dowel to try to take your eye away from the rest of the cake LOL

The punch was awesome! We mixed two berry blue kool-aid pouched then equal part ginger ale and white grape juice then lots of vanilla ice cream. It was a little tangy at first but we added more ice cream until it tasted right.

Pic of baby Tobin

Grub!

Can you tell this is cosmetology school? lol I love that Elissa has her hair in rollers. I'm really surprised no one had foils in their hair.

The Happy Momma!

So that is one baby shower down and two to go tomorrow.

Also for those of you who don't know. David and I have been trying to have a little one of our own for over a year now and I have recently been to the Dr. to get test run and talk about whats been going on. All of my blood work came back good and I'm going in for a sonogram tomorrow morning to see if everything looks OK. Also Doc put me on Clomid to help things along but I don't start taking that until next month.

On a different note. David's grandpa is back at MD Anderson this week to get a biopsy on the spot on his lung. So keep him in your prayers. The last time he got a biopsy on his lung it collapsed and he has sighed a do not resuscitate clause. He may be OK with going but I cant say the same for the rest of the family.

I decided to take Kelly's Korner challenge this week which is "Favorite Bible Verse". I have so many but lately there's been a few that keep coming back to me.
The first is:
This what I strive to do everyday.
"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." 1Thessalonians 5:20

I try to remember this because in such a worrier.
"Do not worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don't forget to thank him for his answers. If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your heart quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7

and of course the first verse I ever learned and one on which my faith is based.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

One Nation under GOD.

Wow its been a while. I have defiantly been slacking on my blogging lately! Well I hope everyone had an awesome 4th! We sure did! David got to be off all weekend and they even gave him Monday so I got to enjoy some time with him. For the 4th we headed out to Story Elementary this year for the big over the top fireworks display that Palestine always manages to pull off. They estimated that over 10,000 people came this year from all around to our little town to check them out. Our church had a tailgate party out there so we went and had an awesome time with everyone. My camera has decided to stop working and I forgot my phone so I had to steal random pictures from people that went. I hate blogging without giving you pictures to look at.
We got out there at five and started setting up

All the woman talked while the guys played football.

Everyone played softball. It was so fun!
Our Pastor Doug helping one of the little ones bat.

I was so gross and sweaty that I did not want my picture taken so I refused to look.

These don't do them justice. They were beautiful!

Oh yeah and I did my mom hair last week. I foiled in two colors and cut it.

It turned out good but being a perfectionist I defiantly see somethings that need improving. These were taken with my phone so of course they suck. I put "new camera" on the top of my wish list.

Also this week I had a chance to have lunch with an old friend from high school. She is going through a very hard time right now and I was able to share my testimony and some things that David and I have gone through in the past. It was amazing to see God work. I prayed that God would use me and give me the words to say and he actually used a time in my life that I was tested and didnt exacally pass. During that dark time I kept thinking what good can come out of this. Now nine months later I was able to share with her my story and have an impact on her. She cried and told me how much I had helped her. It is so awesome how God works! My friend still has a long way to go. Please just pray that she is able to see Gods will in her life and know that no matter how bad times may seem God doesn't abandon us.

"Keepin' my chin up!"

"Some blessings come soon, some come late, and some don’t come until heaven; but for those who embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ, they come."
-Jeffrey R. Holland

I read this quote on one of the blogs I follow and immediately posed it on Facebook. It made feel so much better. Lately I have been very overwhelmed. David and I have been trying to save money and pay off bills so that we can buy a new house and some land but I have been so tempted to spend money on junk. All I can think about is summer dresses and shoes! School has been very dramatic (a little more than usual). One of my very good friends is mad at me and wont tell me why (girls are so complicated). I have been slacking on my time with God and pretty sure that why Ive been feeling so icky. I really need to focus on all that things that God has given me instead of what I don't have. The past couple of months I have been praying that God would send me a mature Christan friend to help guide me but I think God actually did the opposite and send me someone to guide. This past week my sister and her girls came down from Kentucky and I got to spend and afternoon with them. They are so precious and it just made me miss them more!

Sweet little Greta. This is the only picture I got that wasn't the back of her head.

Then of course Ruthie is the exact opposite. She LOVES to pose for pictures!

Today my mom and I went to a wedding shower. It was for a childhood friend of mine. Ill admit I was a little nervous I haven't seen people from my home town in so long but it was very nice. Everyone was nice and I got to catch up with my friend which was the best part. It amazes me how we could not see each other for years but just be able to pick up where we left off. (Even though I talk a lot and could probably carry on a conversation with a wall) I was hoping that David and I could go to the other shower that they are having tonight but he has to work late. : ( I always love showing him off. Oh well. Sorry for all the grammar but I'm feeling a little lazy tonight. : ) More picture to come! Oh yeah and I'm doing my moms hair Thursday and hope to post before and after pics!

Memorial Day Weekend (Im not very creative with my titles) lol

Memorial weekend is over and so is my break from school. I have to go back tomorrow. Ugh! Don't get me wrong I like school a lot and I'm ready to see my friends but after being out for three weeks its a little hard to go back. My weekend was good. Saturday we had the arts and crafts fair in Mabank and did really well. We completely sold out of little blue jean purses. Sunday I went to church and laughed my butt off. Around five me and another girl who's husband works with David went up to Cleburn to see our hubbies. It was nice to get to spend a little time with him. This week will be the third week straight that he has worked out of town! : ( So now I'm back home and trying to get ready for my first day back at school. I picked a ton of plums and plan to give some to my teacher tomorrow for a little welcome back gift. A whole new group of students start this semester so Ive really been praying that God will use me and that I will see any doors that he opens for me this semester. I am pretty excited about that. That's all for now!

Our booth and one of my favorite outfits my mom made.

After Yelling at Lola for eating my powdered donuts I discovered this....

...I don't know if you can see it but Maxi's nose and whiskers are covered with powdered sugar....now I know who the real culprit is! Shes very very sneaky!
OK, I know this is the longest post ever but this is the last thing I promise this is the giant bowl of plums I picked off our trees. They are sooo good!
